Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park Re-Opened to Guests on July 11th.


July 11th marked another milestone in the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, as Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park welcomed guests for the first time in several months. Our cast members have been eagerly anticipating this moment and are looking forward to making magic as only they can.

The Phased Reopening of Walt Disney World Resort Continues with EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.


Imagination and adventure returned with the phased reopening of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort on July 15th. As the parks take their deliberate and responsible approach to this next milestone, Disney cast members are ready and waiting to help guests discover worlds both real and imagined once again.



Important updates have been implemented at Walt Disney World to promote enhanced cleaning, physical distancing and reduced contact. Please remember, attendance is currently limited and managed via the Disney Parks Pass reservation system, face coverings are required for all guests (ages 2 and up) and temperature screenings are required for entry.

New Disneyland

‘Know Before You Go’ Information

Disney has announced a phased reopening of the Downtown Disney® District at Disneyland® Resort.

As a reminder, theme parks and resort hotels at Disneyland® Resort are currently closed and a reopening date has not been identified.

A variety of shopping and dining experiences has begun to reopen at the Downtown Disney District including the World of Disney store.


Here are 6 key things to expect

when visiting the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort:

  1. Parking at the Simba Lot only and clearly defined entrances to the Downtown Disney District

  2. Temperature screenings prior to entry

  3. Face coverings are required for Guests ages 2 and older

  4. Physical distancing measures, including physically-distanced queues and seating, and physical barriers at select locations

  5. Temporary operations modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and the suspension of entertainment offerings and high-touch interactive areas

  6. An increased focus on cleaning and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas
