We sailed on the Disney Dream's Very Merrytime sailing, right around Thanksgiving, so it was a fabulous way to kick off the holidays! From the hot chocolate in the atrium, to the gingerbread house displays, to story time with Santa, to the special tree-lighting ceremony, the overall feel and warmth of the sailing was magical.... We loved seeing Castaway Cay fully decorated and seeing the characters in their merry-costumes... More than any of that, of course, was the special time spent with family right at the kick-off of the Christmas season!

Sailing Disney Cruise Line on a Very Merrytime sailing truly takes the holiday season up a notch. I’ve always loved going to the parks for the holidays to see the characters dressed up in their special outfits and what’s great is the ships get to join in on the fun too. Not only can you see Santa and Mrs. Clause, you can decorate your own gingerbread house, you can even celebrate the holidays on Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. It really is a magical experience.

We were on a 7-night Bahamas from Galveston on the Disney Wonder, stopping in Key West, Nassau and Castaway Cay. Sailing right over Halloween was a blast, not only did we get a Pirate night but we also had a Halloween night onboard! Kids, Characters and even some adults put on their favorite costume and took part in the afternoon and evening Halloween Activities. The ship is decorated with pumpkins and a spooky tree in the Atrium. They have a trick-or-treat event with games in the Atrium in the afternoon, then evening rolls around and they have a Costume Contest for not only individual costumes but also group costumes! There were some great ones! Halloween movies, family games, parties, and so much more!! We would sail over Halloween again in a heartbeat, it was fun for the whole family!!

The Double Dip Disney Cruise was amazing! We love Castaway Cay, so having the chance to spend two days there was just the best. We had our hammocks on the beach two days in a row, and we were able to take advantage of all that CC has to offer.

The Disney Bahamian “double dip” cruise was our second time sailing on the Dream within 12 months and there was still so much to explore! My son had played all three stories of Midship Detective on our prior trip, and yet he was able to play additional adventures, with different answers, on our second sailing. My favorite activity was being able to dine at Remy on both my Dream sailings — it is a foodie’s ultimate meal! But I think my favorite thing about our Disney cruises has been what a fantastic job Disney does of putting together your dining group. My son met kids that he really got along with and we still keep in touch with families we met at our dinners! That really sets Disney apart for us.

We adored our first stop at Castaway Cay—-Disney’s private island in the Bahamas! Gorgeous Caribbean blue waters, sun, sand sitting in chairs with my toes in the sand! Plus, we enjoyed some of the best ribs ever at the BBQ lunch! We spent the day at Serenity Bay (18 and older private beach) but Pelican’s Plunge is super fun for all ages!
Day 3 started with room service coffee on our balcony as we docked in the Bahamas! We stayed on the ship this time and enjoyed brunch at Palo. They allow you 2 hours for this experience that includes a buffet and ordering off the menu as much as you would like! My absolute favorite was the chicken Parmesan with creamy risotto as well as the Apple cinnamon Mickey waffle °0°. I still dream about that waffle!!!

My family and I sailed on the Disney Fantasy and did a Star Wars Day at Sea sailing. It was so much fun to see the Storm Troopers walking around interacting with the guests. The Star Wars stage show on the deck was fabulous and all of the characters were great about talking to all the guests and standing in for photos. My husband's favorite part was getting his picture made with Chewbacca. A Disney Cruise is just magical and celebrating all of the Star Wars characters and events just added that extra special touch.

As avid Star Wars fans, having the chance to sail on the Disney Cruise Line's Star Wars at Sea 7-night sailing was a dream-come-true! Not only did we have the opportunity to enjoy Disney's amazing service and see beautiful places--our stops included San Juan ,Tortola, and Castaway Cay, our chance to engage with our favorite Star Wars characters, have our boys "train" to be Jedis, and watch the Rebels fight the Dark Side throughout the ship was an unforgettable memory. I don't know who was more excited when Boba Fett walked down the hall--my husband or my children. For any Star Wars fans out there, this is a can't-miss chance!

Cruising with Disney is our absolute favorite way to vacation! We did a 7 night Eastern Caribbean Star Wars Day at Sea Cruise on the Disney Fantasy. The ship was absolutely beautiful, just like the other 3 Disney ships! Disney really pays attention to detail bringing those special touches like hidden Mickey’s everywhere you look! The customer service is top notch whether it was our room host, dining room server, kids club staff or even the lifeguard at the pool, each cast member goes above and beyond to make sure we had the best trip ever! The Star Wars Day at Sea was probably our favorite experience! From Darth Vader taking over the ship, to stormtroopers patrolling the pool deck, to Jedi training for the kids, the ship’s horn playing the Imperial March, to ending the day with a deck show and fireworks display at sea, every single minute of that day is packed full of Star Wars themed activities. The Dinner menu is even Star Wars themed!! I promise, you definitely won’t leave a Disney cruise disappointed, you’ll only leave wanting more!!

Our Marvel Day at Sea Disney Cruise was a blast! We met our favorite characters at scheduled meet & greets and some were just wandering around the ship. They had special activities and events for all ages – a Doctor Strange show, drawing classes, trivia – just to name a few. One night in the dining room, they had a fun Marvel themed menu and food to match! My favorite event was the night time deck show. It included all the characters, action-packed with stunts, and ended with amazing fireworks.

Marvel Day at Sea was absolutely worth the WHOLE trip!! My superhero loving little guy (and big guy!) had a blast meeting all of his favorite characters. He had to demonstrate his “Hulk Smash” move for everyone. All of the small details really made for an incredible trip. There may have even been some happy tears shed during the nighttime show on deck.

We had an awesome time at the Marvel Day At Sea Cruise!!! The Superheroes came out several times to take selfies, some needed to be booked ahead of time but others did not! I met Spidey, Black Panther, Iron Man, Groot, Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and many more. We enjoyed themed meals and even the Superhero Diaper Race!! On our cruise we could watch our favorites dance on stage, draw them at the Animation Academy, and watch the Guardians of the Galaxy friends dance at the dance parties. Movies and shows are themed. Even Mickey and Friends will come dressed as their favorite heroes. Fun for the whole family!! I highly recommend it!

On my tours of the kids’ clubs on the Disney Magic and Disney Dream, I loved the Star Wars and Marvel themed play spaces. They are wonderfully detailed and so appealing to the imagination! They are super fun on any sailing, but they perfect complement to the Star Wars and Marvel sailings.
