If Mexico has been calling your name, you don't want to miss this blog. We've got the 4-1-1 on one of the hottest spots to sink your toes into the sand and enjoy Cancun to its fullest potential.
We're talking about the Moon Palace Complex. Comprised of two distinct resorts (Moon Palace Cancun and Moon Palace The Grand) your family will be living it up in the Mexican sun and making memories that you'll be talking about for years to come. Check out this resort review from our agent Tammy, who breaks down why this resort may be right for you.
Located on the shores of the Riviera Maya, you’ll find a massive, state of the art resort compound full of dining and entertainment options for adults and children of all ages. This gorgeous piece of real estate is a short drive from the Cancun International Airport.
Upon arrival, you will go arrive through their security gates, each vehicle is stopped and every driver questioned about their purpose for visiting the property. Once cleared, they'll be invited to enter the resort complex. When it is time to exit, the vehicles must "check out" - it's Palace's process for keeping track of all vehicles on property, at all times.
Moon Palace Cancun
Being the original resort, it is comprised of two sections: Sunrise and Nizuc. Palace's website describes it best, "Moon Palace Cancun teems with energy, luxury, and possibility. This dynamic all-inclusive resort features fine gourmet dining and unlimited premium drinks. Enjoy pristine beaches, a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, our world-class Awe Spa, exotic tours, the best nightly entertainment, and super-fun kids and teens areas."
Due to the immense size of this property, or compound, you will find an internal transportation system. This system has little stops throughout the properties, where golf carts driven by staffers will run you all around the resort.
Moon Palace The Grand
This portion of the complex is the newer of the two resorts, as well as the largest of the two.
Note: Guests who stay at The Grand have access to ALL of the amenities at Moon Palace, but guests who stay at Moon Palace only have access to the amenities offered at Moon (including both the Nizuc and Sunrise sections). While Moon Palace can certainly stand on her own as a fantastic resort with plenty to do, once you see what The Grand has to offer your jaw will hit the floor.
"Say 'Hasta la vista' to all things ordinary at Moon Palace The Grand – Cancun. Unwind in our luxurious accommodations. Cool yourself in one of nine refreshing pools or sip unlimited premium drinks at our many bars. Luxuriate at our largest Awe Spa yet, or make a splash at this resort's exciting Water Park."
