It's true. ...You never feel more alive than when you’re scared to death at Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights, The World’s Premier Halloween Event. Face terrifying haunted houses, sinister scare zones, outrageous live entertainment and some of Universal Studios’ most exhilarating attractions.
This year's event takes place from August 29th to November 2nd and is shaping to be the scariest yet! Here's everything we know so far about HHN's 34th season.
For the Newbies... What is Halloween Horror Nights?
Well, the name says it all. HHN is a special ticketed nighttime event (taking place inside Universal Studios) dedicated to all things that go bump in the night. If you are picturing something similar to the Halloween parties that take place down the street, this is not it!
Here, you won't meet the Simpsons dressed as zombies... although that would be pretty cool to see. At HHN you can expect to come face to face with some of your worst nightmares. Highly recommended for guests 13 and up, you can look forward to experiencing up to 10 "haunted houses," five scare zones, live entertainment, and a partridge in a pear tree. Ok, maybe not that last one, ha!
Terrifying Haunted Houses
Watch your back as you make your way through haunted houses inspired by the biggest names in horror, plus Universal’s own twisted creations.
Fallout
Face your fears in post-apocalyptic LA. You’ll be attacked by raiders alongside Lucy.
You’ll confront the bounty hunter, The Ghoul. You’ll even encounter Maximus with the Brotherhood of Steel.

That's not all...
We are so excited for the second year, Halloween Horror Nights will be offering a PREMIUM SCREAM NIGHT. Everything you already love about Halloween Horror Nights but with limited capacity, shorter wait times with staggered entry, a selection of all-you-care-to-enjoy food and more.
This year's Premium Scream will take place on August 28, 2025 and tickets are $375.00 per person.
HHN Express Pass and RIP Tour
If you're looking to take the chill factor up a notch Universal Orlando has two add-ons for single night tickets.
The HHN Express Pass - This Express Pass works like an EP would in the parks for normal rides. Except instead of hopping the line to jump on a ride, you'll be fast tracked into one of the 10 themed houses. Prices start at $139.99 per person plus tax, but vary based on date of attendance. Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour - Consider this your all access pass to horror and fun. The RIP Tour gets you VIP treatment into each of the 10 houses and gives you Express Unlimited ride access (for the rides open inside Universal Studios) for the rest of the night. Plus, you'll get a pre-tour reception with light appetizers, valet parking for 1 vehicle, reserved seating at event show(s), and a commemorative RIP Tour Credential. Prices start $369.99 per person plus tax, but vary based on date of attendance. Contact your MMV agent for more details.
Tips for Surviving Halloween Horror Nights
Universal said it themselves. #NeverGoAlone. Having someone to push into the path of danger, so that you can run away is always smart. We're kidding... sort of.
Know your limits. This isn't the $5 Haunted Houses you visit down the road. These are much more realistic. If you feel like you're in trouble, just let one of the UOR team members who are standing guard inside know and they will help you get to the nearest exit. Again, a reminder, this event is recommended for 13 years and older. This wasn't rated the Best Halloween Event for 13 years for no reason!
It's ok to just spend the evening taking advantage of the short ride times. That's right! There will be ride attractions open during HHN events. Check your app to see which ones you can hop on when you need a breather.
Safety first! Remember that the scary person walking near you with a rubber hatchet is a Universal Team Member. While their job for the evening is to give you alllll the goosebumps, underneath that makeup is a normal person who would like to go home without bumps and bruises. So, don't touch the cast. They won't touch you.
